Mitzie enjoys working with beginners and experienced artists.

She teaches watercolour and holds workshops in acrylics and mixed media, developing new techniques, experiments and painting by instinct. She encourages a loose style with an emphasis on unintentional effects which become part of the composition. She helps students develop their own style by carefully choosing themes and materials to encourage underlying creativity and enjoyment.

"I so enjoyed your workshop yesterday - a little bit of heaven on earth! It is always good painting with an enthusiastic group - something about the energy generated in the group and inspiration and encouragement from each other. But what was really great was your wonderful way of just seeming to plunge in - wet into wet with no drawing first and then seeing what the paint did and gradually building up what emerged. It was gloriously freeing! I loved it. And I loved the printing - lots of ideas about how to use both that and this new found freedom!"
